Management Development Program & Training and Placement Officer’s meet conducted by The ICFAI University Dehradun & ICFAI Business School October 15, 2018

A Management Development Program (MDP) & Training and Placement Officer’s (TPO) meet was conducted by The ICFAI University, Dehradun & ICFAI Business School (IBS). More than 20 participants from 18 Colleges and Universities from Dehradun, Roorkee and Tehri like Graphic Era, DIT, DAV PG College, DBS PG College, Sri Guru Ram Rai University, Uttarakhand Technical University, DBIT, BFIT, THDC Institute of Hydro Power Engineering & Technology, COER, e.t.c participated in this program. The TPO meet was organized by IBS to strengthen the network of Training and Placement officers and managers in the collages through which students can get better placement opportunities. Networking skills, Change in hiring trends of the corporate and challenges of the Training and placement vertical were discussed during the TPO Meet. Mr.Tanuj Jaitley and Mr.Digvijay Singh played an active role in organizing the TPO meet.

A Management Development Program (MDP) was also conducted by The ICFAI University, Dehradun during this TPO meet. The objective of this MDP was to develop the skills and decision making Capabilities of the participants .The MDP also focused on managing self, managing people, managing work since all these are the aspects which determine our efficiency in day to day tasks leading to the development of a better network with individuals and the corporate as well. These three are therefore considered the most important aspects in the Training and Placement vertical and any Training and placement officer or manager can develop and strengthen their corporate network by fulfilling their day to day objectives more effectively through these skills which will help them in providing better placement opportunities to the students ultimately. The key speakers during the MDP and TPO meet were Dr. Tavleen Kaur from IBS Gurgaon and Prof. Sanjeev Malaviya, who is the faculty coordinator of training and placement at IBS Dehradun.

The Chief Guest of the event, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of The ICFAI University, Dehradun and Dean of IBS Dr. Muddu Vinay said “The ICFAI University Dehradun conducts these Management Development Programs (MDP) during such meets to enhance the capabilities of the individuals participating in these programs. Expansion of knowledge base in any area of human activity can lead to better results which in context of today’s TPO meet will help the Training and placement Officers and managers to strengthen their network with the corporate and other managers in the same training and placement vertical through the skills acquired in this MDP. This initiative will ultimately benefit the students as they will avail better placement opportunities from the institutions”.
