Program Structure for Ph.D Program:

Phase I - Course Work Course Credits
year I First Semester Research Methodology I 3 Credits
One paper related to the core area of discipline 3 Credits
Research & Publication Ethics 2 Credits
Second Semester Research Methodology II 3 Credits
Paper related to the area in which the candidate will work for Ph.D. 3 Credits
Literature review in the relevant field and seminar on the same 3 Credits

Admission Procedure:

Admission to the Ph.D. program (both formats) is based on Academic Record, Performance in the Admission Test and Interview. Candidates with valid NET/SLET/GATE qualified are exempted from the Admission Test. Admission Test will consist of two papers, each comprising 50 objective type questions.

Paper-I shall be general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research apti tude of the candidate.

It will primarily be designed to Test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Paper-II shall consist of equati ons based on the discipline selected by the candidate.

Phase II - Preparation of Research Proposal (Second Year)

Phase III – Thesis Writing, Pre-Submission Seminar and Submission (Third Year Onwards)
